1. Saina – Amazon Prime Video

Saina is streaming on Amazon Prime Video

Starring Parineeti Chopra in the lead as the titular character, Saina is your classic sports biopic that is fuelled by inspirational sporting moments and this movie gets those correct, but only those, everything else is extremely nimble. Parineeti as the sporting enigma has played her role well but it is the storytelling could have been more convincing.

2. Roohi – Netflix

Not a sequel to Stree, this Rajkummar Rao and Janhvi Kapoor starrer comes from the same universe but doesn’t give you the same chills. Roohi revolves around a girl possessed by a soul who abducts brides during their honeymoon. While the movie might not be the best, but it does maintain a balance of gags and spookiness, making it a decent watch.

3. Sardar ka Grandson – Netflix

Arjun Kapoor, Neena Gupta and Rakul Preet Singh take the lead in Kaashvie Nair’s Sardar Ka Grandson. Said to be a comedy-drama, the movie is built around an unconventional last wish of Kapoor’s grandmother. And he embarks on an adventurous journey to fulfill the wish of his ailing grandmother. The film also features Aditi Rao Hydari, John Abraham, Soni Razdan, Kanwaljit Singh, Kumud Mishra and Divya Seth in supporting roles. While the movie does have its emotional moments that hook you to the story, it fails to create a lasting impact overall.

4. Hungama 2 – Disney+ Hotstar

This movie marked its maker Priyadarshan’s comeback after eight years and was an absolute disaster, to say the least. The chaotic comedy of error introduces us to Aakash who is all set to marry his dad’s friend Bajaj’s daughter. All seems to be going well until his college sweetheart Vaani comes back in his life with a child whom she claims to be his. The film features Meezaan, Shilpa Shetty, Paresh Rawal and Pranitha Subhash.

5. Radhe – Zee5

One of the biggest releases this year was Salman Khan’s Radhe: The Most Wanted Bhai turned out to be the most unwanted movie. Radhe, a daredevil encounter specialist of the Mumbai Police force, sets on a dangerous mission to knock down the crime syndicate led by an evil drug lord. This is such a mess of a movie that neither Khan’s fandom nor Prabudeva’s directorial skills could save it.
