266 New Covid Cases In Trichy, 149 In Madurai

Madurai/Trichy: The number of new Covid-19 cases continue to drop in central and southern districts as Madurai recorded 149 cases and Trichy 266 on Friday. The number of cases in Madurai district has been dropping for 12 days in a row now, and with 421 recoveries the number of active cases has come down to 2,883.

According to the state health department bulletin on Friday three Covid-19 deaths were recorded in Madurai. In Trichy, active cases came down to 3,736 from 3,966 as 469 patients were discharged, while one death was reported. tnn
